Geek Night was sooo cool last night! The guy who runs it (and the pub) came in dressed as Vadar- red lightsaber and everything- all menacing and then the music changed from the Imperial March to stuff like ‘Let’s Do the Timewarp Again’ and Gangnam style!
The quiz was mostly Star Wars based, so not stuff I knew the in’s and out’s of.. But I did NOT embarrass myself, or let down the Star Trek fandom!
There were two Trek questions; what was the name of Data’s daughter from TNG (Lal) and which Star Wars character appeared in the new Star Trek movies and where? R2-D2 and in the debris around Vulcan and during the Vengeance attack mid-warp on the Enterprise, he got sucked out with the crew :D
And there was a raffle and I even one some prizes! A spud gun and Top Trumps Indiana Jones edition (yay -.-).
Angela from Clifton Games picked four of us up and took us home and one guy, Marcus, was doing such a funny impression of Bane that she drove us into oncoming traffic (she temporarily forgot she was in Britain, not the US)! Fortunately it was midnight and my terrified laughter from the front seat alerted her to this fact ;D
So good night all-in-all! Would definitely go again if asked!
