Oh My GODS.

The Almighty Johnsons

I cannot express how excited I am that this got a third season. It is like no other "soap" on tv- and that is essentially what it is.

Admittedly a soap where the main characters (four brothers and their grandpa above L-R Ty, Anders, Axl, Mike and Olaf) are the mortal incarnations of Norse Gods. Frankly there some soaps, yes Eastenders I'm looking at you, that could use a supernatural element to explain some of the absolute bull that the writers would pass off as plot development.

So season two saw the..

banishment and death of Agnetha (Freyja) the Johnson boys mother, the death-and-subsequent-god-loss of Ty and the loss of memories of him by all the mortals who knew him as well as the murder of his wife and Loki's daughter Eve/Hel by his overprotective mother.

As well as all the action with Ty,  the All Father Axl/Odin saw his flatmate and romantic interest Gaia discover her own impending Goddess-hood! And face the choice between a Norse Goddess (on her father's side) and a MAORI Goddess on her mother's!

With everyone (except the Maori Gods) expecting her to become Frigg, they didn't count on three things; Anders (Bragi) meeting and falling in love/lust with his God-wife Idunn/Helen from the first series, a mad group of zealots tracking Anders from Norway to New Zealand after his quest to bring back a branch of the Tree Of Life, OR the fact that Idunn is the constant Goddess. She is just as necessary to the Gods survival as Axl (her apples give the Gods immortality, as does her presence). When Helen is murdered Idunn jumps the que into the next available incarnation... Axl's love Gaia!!

I've already been disappointed this year with Sky not picking up season three of Teen Wolf. But I'm feeling hopeful that SyFy UK will be bringing the continuation of this brilliant little show.

And if they don't I've thought of a way to protest.

By sending SyFy a bunch of rotton apple cores.
